Paul Choinere won his first Ojibwe Pro Rally in 1988. Scott Weinheimer was his co-driver that year. Chuck VanDamme / Thomas VanDamme leave the start of an afternoon stage in their Mazda RX-3. Niall Leslie / Brian Maxwell took 10th overall, 1st in P class in their Toyota Corolla GTS. Tim O'Neil / Martin Headland took 7th overall, fourth in Gr. A, in their VW GTI. Guy Light / Jimmy Brandt took 11th overall, second in Production in their VW GTI. Henry Krolikowski / Cindy Krolikowski took 28th overall, 10th in PGT in their Dodge Omni.
