John Buffum / Tom Grimshaw Audi Sport Quattro S2 Rod Millen / Harry Ward blast down SS2 in their Open class Mazda RX-7. Bruno Kreibich / Clark Bond Audi Quattro on SS2. Doug Shepherd / Ginny Reese in their factory Dodge Shelby Turbo took fourth overall and the GT win.
Steve Nowicki / David Stone DNF'ed in their Group A Nissan 200SX later in the event. The Larry Schmidt / Jerry Welc Dodge Shelby Turbo took fifteenth overall and third in GT. Richey Watanabe / Howie Watanabe blast down SS2 in their Gr. A Toyota Corolla GTS. Mike Grieb / Ernest Carpenter Dodge Shelby Turbor goes through the spectator corner on SS2.

John Buffum/Tom Grimshaw's Audi Sport Quattro at service. Note a young Paul Choinere in the Michelin suit talking to JB. The winners: John Buffum / Tom Grimshaw Audi Sport Quattro S2 entered in the main dining area before the banquet.
