A section of SS6 was essentially fast two-track road. Dan Cook sat out competing at STPR to grill steaks, burgers, and brats for his friends prior to the running of SS6. The Tioga State Forest is lush with green ferns during STPR weekend. Bruce Perry drove the 0 car, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8, for the day. The car is seen at a hairpin near the finish of SS6.
Andy Pinker / Robbie Durant Subaru WRX STi leads the pack on SS6. Ramana Lagemann / Mark Williams Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7 on SS6. Antoine L'Estage / Nathalie Richard Hyundai Tiburon on SS6. They retired at the end of the stage with a damaged suspension. Travis Pastrana / Christian Edstrom Subaru WRX STi on SS6.
Matt Iorio / Ole Holter Subaru Impreza lost its tranny at this corner and limped to the end of the stage in fourth gear. Seamus Burke / Eddie Fries Mitsubishi Evo 9 on SS6. Paul Choiniere / Jeff Becker Hyundai Tiburon on SS6. Matthew Johnson / Jeremy Wimpey Subaru WRX kicks up dust on a hairpin on SS6.
