Doug Davenport / Al Kintigh VW Golf take a conservative approach to a slippery downhill right-hander on the stage after lunch. Tim Winker / Brenda Corneliusen got wide in their SAAB 99 and eventually got stuck. I had to go push them back out. The two TAD Racing Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IVs of Pete Lahm / Matt Chester (L) and Garen Shrader / Doc Shrader (R). The gorgeous Suzuki Swift of Dave Cizmas, Jr. / Dave Cizmas, Sr. gets serviced during the dinner break.

Pete Lahm / Matt Chester Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV held down fifth spot after the midday break. Brian Pepp / Jerry Stang speed over a blind crest in their Eagle Talon before sunset.
