Doug Davenport / Al Kintigh VW Golf at speed on a straight before the lunch break. Art Burmeister / Randy Moore VW GTI at speed on a straight before the next service/lunch break. Tim Winker / Brenda Corneliusen at speed in their SAAB 99 on the stage prior to the lunch break.
Tom Ottey / Pam McGarvey assumed the lead after the first reseed in their Mazda 323GTX. Jon Kemp / Brian Maxwell were second on the road in their Audi 4000 Quattro after the lunch break reseed. Gail Truess / Pattie Hughes at speed in their Mazda 323GTX after the first service. Cal Landau / Eric Marcus Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX moved into third after the lunch break.
Pete Lahm / Matt Chester continued to get used to their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV after the lunch break. Chris Czyzio / Eric Carlson Mitsubishi Eclipse at speed on the stage immediately after the lunch break. Brian Pepp / Jerry Stang speed through a left-hander in their Eagle Talon on the stage just after the lunch break. Rob Bohn / Todd Houtz Mitsubishi Eclipse jumped up the leader board after the lunch break.
