Norm Johnson was unprepared for my camera's flash while walking back to the car to drive to the next night stage. The VW Rabbit of Heikke Nielsen / Bob Nielsen pull into the start of a night stage. Paul Choinere / John Buffum blast out of the starting gate in their Hyundai Elantra en route to the overall win. Doug Shepherd / Pete Gladysz leave the start of a night stage in their Eagle Talon.
Selcuk Karamanoglu / Yorgi Bittner leave the start of a night stage in their Mitsubishi Eclipse. The Ralph Kosmides / Joe Noyes Toyota Supra awaits the start of the stage in almost complete darkness. Mike Whitman / Dave White await the start of a night stage in almost complete darkness in their Datsun 510. Reny Villemure / Mike Villemure blast out of the start of a night stage in their VW Beetle.
Selcuk Karamanoglu / Yorgi Bittner took second overall in their Mitsubishi Eclipse just over a minute behind Choinere / Buffum. The Doug Shepherd / Pete Gladysz Eagle Talon sports damage after rolling in the evening. They rolled a second time and DNF'ed. Mike Hurst / Rob Bohn were sixth overall, and second in PGT, in their Mitsubishi Eclipse. Steve Gingras / Bill Westrick were 3rd overall, and PGT class winners, in their Mitsubishi Eclipse.
